FIRE & EXPLOSION AT YASKAWA FACILITY

DO NOT PUT YOURSELF IN DANGER

Our natural tendency is to make sure other people are safe - especially if we are a leader in that area. The time to make sure others are safe is before an emergency occurs. Ensure anyone that you are responsible for is well aware of what to do in an emergency.

You can do this by:

  1. Make sure you have completed all of the safety training and ensure others do the same. This training must include what to do in an emergency. For Yaskawa leaders, this training includes talking with your team about how they will help team members who might need assistance to evacuate.
  2. Trust that other associates will take the appropriate action that they have been trained to take.
  3. Once you are safe, report to your supervisor. If you are a supervisor, take attendance and report anyone who is unaccounted for to the Emergency Coordinator.
