Station: Panel Integration
Process: Placing Panel Assembly into the Enclosure of the Weatherford designed enclosures. Panel is Assembled on a 1,000# Cap Pump Cart with Engineered modification (Christian Johnson) from 2019 (or earlier). The design was to allow the Pump Cart to be an Assembly aide to assist the Associates in tilting the Panel into the Enclosure without manual lifting as was done in Weatherford before it moved to YAI. The original Process was to manually lift the unit into the Enclosure, it was changed to interim design to use a small Crane assist in the lift until Christian designed the assist Tool. Current design with the GEM Series has created an additional "Pan" around the drive which creates an issue with how the unit can be manipulated into position. The process used with the 2X4 runners on the side of the Panel create an issue where the weight of the unit causes the Panel to "dig" into the runners and STOP the unit from sliding into the Enclosure. A redesign is needed to accommodate the size changes from the beginning of the project.
